The duration of Japanese hair straightening depends on the length and thickness of your hair. On average, it takes about 3 to 6 hours.

To care for your straightened hair, do not wash it for the first 72 hours after treatment. Use sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners and avoid heat styling devices as much as possible.

Japanese hair straightening works best on hair that has not been severely damaged or has been chemically treated beforehand. It may not be suitable for extremely fine or brittle hair.

It is recommended that you wait at least 6 months before having a Japanese hair straightening done again to minimize damage to your hair. Get personal advice from our stylists.

Japanese hair straightening permanently changes the structure of your hair, but the newly regrowing hair still has its natural texture. You may need to have your hair retreated every 6 to 9 months.
